Shadowmoss Sharks Registration

Welcome to the Sharks Information 2024

The Shadowmoss Swim Team is part of the CCAA (Coastal Carolina Aquatic Association). Over the course of the season swimmers will have an opportunity to learn/improve on all 4 competitive strokes, participate in team traditions, and enjoy competing with, and against their friends. The teams season lasts from early May and continues through early July with the season culminating with the CCAA City Championships. The team practices up to 5 days a week, twice a day (morning and afternoon) depending on the child's swimming ability. Swimmers must be able to swim 1 length of the pool (25 meters) without assistance in 1:15 in order to make the team. Swimmers can swim on the team until the summer after their senior year of high school. Summer swimming is an excellent opportunity for children to learn athleticism, team sportsmanship, and the joy of competition. Swimming is a unique sport in that there are individual victories as well as team victories. The team is led by Coach Brad Blake who also coaches the West Ashley High School Swim Team.

Q: When does registration open?
A: Registration will begin on March 1st, and if you are new to the swim team, we highly encourage you to come to the "meet and greet" that is typically held in early March.  The 2024 date has not been determined yet.
